PEGASUS SPYWARE

From tracing criminals and terrorists to monitoring unhealthy activities, Ethical hacking has really helped goverment to achieve milestones. It permits the government to conduct novel forms of real-time surveillance. Their targets are not confined to devices, but can extend also to communications networks, information and their underlying infrastructure. Pegasus, developed by the Israeli cyberarms firm NSO Group, is perhaps the most powerful spyware ever created. It is a tool to track for targeted spying and not for mass surveillance. NSO Group sells the software to the verified government agencies only. By 2019, Pegasus can infiltrate a device with a missed call on WhatsApp and can even delete the record of this missed call, making it impossible for the user to know they had been targeted. The 2021 Project Pegasus revelations suggest that the current Pegasus software can exploit all recent iOS versions up to iOS14.6, This means a phone could be infected even if it has the latest security patch installed.

FACEBOOK WORKROOMS

Facebook Horizon Workrooms is a virtual meeting space where professionals can work better together from anywhere in Oculus VR. User can join a meeting in VR as an avatar or dial into the virtual room from their computer by video call. User can use a huge virtual whiteboard to sketch out ideas together, bring his computer and keyboard into VR to work together with others, or just have expressive conversations that feel more like they are together in person. It works across both virtual reality and the web and is designed to improve team's ability to collaborate, communicate, and connect remotely, through the power of VR whether that's getting together to brainstorm or whiteboard an idea, work on a document, hear updates from your team, hang out and socialize, or simply have better conversations that flow more naturally. The special features of Workspace includes Bringing your desk, computer, and keyboard into VR with your avatar in the VR. Taking perspective of the professionals that it need room to suit every task workrooms have different workspace designed and designated to tasks.

An initial public offering (IPO) is the process of offering shares of a private corporation to the public in a new stock issuance. An IPO is a big step for a company as it provides the company with access to raising money. This gives the company a greater ability to grow and expand. The upcoming rush of new-age consumer internet companies listing on Indian bourses, including that of the food-delivery and restaurant discovery platform, has piqued the interest of a new crop of millennial and GenZ investors who are more vested in the consumer technology ecosystem. A clutch of top Indian startups from Paytm to Nykaa, Mobikwik and Policybazaar - are set to debut on local stock markets in 2021 and are drawing hordes of young Indians looking to mark their debut as IPO investors. They're all gearing up to go public. It's almost as if the Indian startup ecosystem met at once and decided this was the most opportune moment to IPO in India.

TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020 TECHNOLOGY

This year's Olympics were great. A medal in hockey after 4 decades, first Olympic Gold in a field event. It would've been a challenging task to host such a major event during a global pandemic. Here's how technology helped in organizing the Olympics this year. Toyota's service robots: Robots built by Toyota were used for tasks such as welcoming athletes and spectators to sports venues, carrying out tasks on the field, and facilitating 360-degree camera technologies for delivering immersive experiences that couldn't be pulled off using human operators alone. Due to the pandemic, the use of robots was very helpful to reduce contact between people at the events.Intel's 3D athlete tracking technology: 3D Athlete Tracking (3DAT) was used which provided viewers with next-gen graphics.

SENNHEISER GSP 670

During Computex last week, Sennheiser gave media a sneak peek at its first wireless gaming headset, the GSP 670. Like other wireless headsets, the GSP 670 needs to be connected to a wireless dongle. Each one comes with a GSA 70 compact USB dongle with proprietary technology that Sennheiser developed to ensure a low-latency connection it promises transmits sounds with “near-zero delay.” The USB is compatible with PCs and the Sony PlayStation 4. The GSP 670 also has Bluetooth, so users can pair it with their smartphones and tablets, as well. The GSP 670’s microphone is noise-cancelling and can be muted by raising the boom arm. The headset has two volume wheels to allow users to control chat audio and game audio separately. In terms of battery, Sennheiser claims the GSP 670’s quick-charging battery can run for two hours after a seven-minute charge. When fully charged, it says the battery can last for up to 20 hours on Bluetooth and 16 hours when connected via the GSA 70 dongle. The headset has automatic shutdown to save power.

Founded on 10th October, 2005 Conatus functioning is firmly supported by HOD of CSE department, Dr. Anu Chaudhary.

What We Do

In the last decade, Conatus has evolved as a technical base for its own members as well as the rest of the college. It has brought to the students the vast unexplored “technical horizon” within their grasp hold. Besides being the first technical society of AKGEC, Conatus leads the technological upfront by organizing a wide range of activities throughout the year.
